Random Gate Monster
Each gate in the Duat had 3 monsters tending to it. This was assigned to be one of them.
Originally this sketch was for an idea on how the Investigators might climb out of a puzzle area in the Dreamlands. It was going to be a half-eaten, monster's corpse. It's long "fingers" could be lowered down by someone already on the ledge, and then those fingers could be climbed by those Investigators below the ledge.
But this idea was abandoned and instead the monster was used at one of the gates.
Its head is supposed to be emerging from a chest cavity, kinda like a turtle. Tendrils emitting from the head are meant to look like ribs when grabbing onto the chest.
