A SAMPLING OF SOME OF THE SPELLS/CHAPTERS FOUND IN THE BOOK OF THE DEAD
  There are many spells dealing with burial ceremonies, going through the "weighing of the heart" ceremony, granting praise to various deities, etc. Listed below are some of the spells which strike the Investigators' eyes as possibly (or possibly not) having a practical value.
  All of these spells include the phrase, "in the gods' domain", implying that they might not work on Earth.


REPELLING VARIOUS ENTITIES

  • 31. Driving off a crocodile which comes to take away (user's) magic from him.

  • 43. Prevents one's decapitation in the god's domain.
  • 44,175. Protects the deceased from dying again in the god's domain.
  • 50. Prevents the deceased from entering the slaughterhouse of the god.
  • 63. Drinking water and not being burnt by fire.
