Eclipse   Road-Trip,   2017
In August of 2017, I embarked on a road trip to see a solar eclipse.

I did not take any photos of the eclipse. My camera is too lousy to pull that off.
Although a professional image of the eclipse can be seen here. (I think that image is from the Lowell Observatory.)
Days 1 & 2: Oregon Caves

A stream runs through the caves and collects into this pretty pond. I don't know where it goes from there.
3D sculpture of the caves. Very different shape compared to how caves are presented in games and films.
Day 3: Low tide at Cannon Beach

Birds walking along a shallow patch, plus gulls orbiting the peak
Days 4 & 5: Solar Eclipse
This is in Durkee, Oregon, as part of an event organized by Atlas Obscura.

There were many, rad speakers. Most of them touched on topics I was already familiar with through the San Francisco Amateur Astronomers lecture series, as well as Nerd Nite.
There was also a talk by Vi Hart concerning using a prime number of humans to make ribbon-stars, which these videos are from.
Day 6: Snoqualmie Falls
